Revolutionary Design
The main idea is the stability against the waves, which are interacting with our house on water. This is assured by the external sphere that can slide freely around the internal habitat, which also has a spherical form with most heavy weight into the bottom of its lower hemisphere.

Animated section with the electric motors
The solar charged batteries power the two electric motors by whose simultaneous or separate activation the watercraft can be moved in any direction. The controls of the motors can be done wirelessly through a smartphone, or a corresponding desktop software, which can use GPS coordinates, sensors and other data to automate the journey from one destination to another.

Superior safety compared to conventional ships
Conventional ships have several limitations like the uncomfortable sway caused by waves, the risk of structural damage in heavy storms and other dangerous situations that may occur on open seas. The present invention solves all these kinds of shortcomings / inconveniences, allowing us to live a safer and self-sustainable life (learn more) on the current water covered uninhabited area, up to 70% of Earth’s surface.

Comfort in any environmental conditions
A new type of house/ship is created which allows users to live and sail on seas / oceans with no swinging discomfort and in safe conditions. Traditional ships are subject to the swinging motions and hazards caused by external factors (storms etc.), the present invention solving these problems. In addition, the spherical shape significantly increases the floatability in comparison with typical ships (spherical shape assuring the best floatability).
Description of the Invention
The present invention improves upon existing types of floating houses and sea vessels by allowing people to have a comfortable and safe living and sailing on seas / oceans.
This is accomplished by using a double spherical engineered house as shown here:

The external sphere (4) rotates freely around the internal sphere (3) when moved by water (waves, etc.). This process is facilitated by the well lubricated rotative structural balls (2), like in the 3D view model below, simetrically distributed around the internal spherical structure, screwed in corresponding threaded cylindrical holes (or, without thread, just inserted in the corresponding holes and fastened with appropriate clips). Drag the 3D model with your cursor
Rotative structural ball in 3D
The external weight (6) ensures that the external sphere (4) gravitationally comes back to its default position, after each move (due to the contact / friction with the water). The internal weight (5) and the heavy load (water tank etc.) from the lower part of the internal structure (3) ensure that it is kept gravitationally in its default position, horizontal, the users (1) living without any sway, like in the houses on land.

Whenever there are appropriate (safe enough) conditions, the users (1) keep open the petals (7) of the external sphere (4), also, for a better exposure of the solar panels to sunlight, besides allowing them to enjoy the sunny days, or leave the house, bring supplies etc.
The internal spherical structure can have multiple levels, allowing users to have access to more facilities like food storage, water storage, rooms (bathroom, kitchen, living room etc.), garden on the top floor etc.

The petals may contain corresponding small, secured windows in some areas that will allow users to have a view of the exterior environment (when the petals are closed).
The external battery bank can be charged through the solar panels located on the surface above water of the external sphere, including on the outside of the sphere’s petals, while the internal one by the solar panels from the other side (the interior) of the petals. The large surface dedicated to solar panels that fuel the batteries (located at the bottom of the house) offers sufficient energy to power many household devices too.
The external batteries can power the electric motors that move the house in any direction. The controls of the motors can be done wirelessly through a smartphone, or a corresponding desktop software, which can use GPS coordinates, sensors and other data to automate the journey from one destination to another.
The two ways of the external sphere petals closing are explained and shown in the next images.
One way is like in the first image below, without connection with the ship’s mast extension, and the other way is with connection to the ship’s mast extension (like in the other following two images).
In the first case, the internal spherical structure remains fixed in the horizontal position, without sway (useful when the sea is not calm, but with waves; storms etc.) and, in the second case, we have a compact structure used when the sea is calm enough for diverse tasks such as: getting into or getting out from it, loading / unloading things into / from the floating house etc.
Optionally, only half of the petals (4 of them) can be closed, or more or less from the total of 8, as the users desire, with or without connection at the mast’s extension, as explained in this paragraph.

Objects and Advantages
A new type of house/ship is created which allows users to live and sail on seas / oceans with no swinging discomfort and in safe conditions. Traditional ships are subject to the swinging motions and hazards caused by external factors (storms etc.). The present invention solves these problems. In addition, the spherical shape of this invention significantly increases the floatability in comparison with typical ships (spherical shape assuring the best floatability).
People will use satellite internet connection for communication, online work or entertainment. Users can live a comfortable, self-sustaining life on the sea, without the negative aspects of inland living (crowded cities, wars, diseases spreading etc.). Self-sustainment can be achieved by utilizing mainly the solar energy (also some wind turbines energy generators, when it is opened) to power the electrical devices such as: water maker, oven, refrigerator, tv etc., besides fishing and gardening. The freedom, safety and comfort given by this invention will allow many people to live & travel on open sea into the chosen locations all around the globe (such as the more exotic climates etc.)
For the beginning, there will be communities of floating spherical houses owners, living closely / near the shore but in time, these communities will expand, allowing people to populate the seas / oceans and, by using the free resources (solar power, wind energy, sea food etc.), the problems of overpopulation will be reduced, also, decreasing the global warming.
Draft Claims
1. The present invention is a floating house / ship consisting of a double sphere assembly. The swinging discomfort caused by waves is completely annulled by the sliding of the external one around the internal one, which by having the heavy loading into its lower area, is gravitationally maintained fixed in the default horizontal position. Also, the external sphere will always return gravitationally to its default position because of the weights located at its bottom (batteries, electrical anchor assembly etc.).
2. Safety is increased by closing the external sphere’s petals in dangerous situations (storms, heavy waves or winds, intrusion attempts etc.).
3. The petals of the external sphere create a large solar panel surface (in both closed and open mode), which together with the solar panels located on the surface above water of the external sphere will generate sufficient amount of energy to power the household devices and the electric motors (used for propulsion / movement).
4. This invention will offer to its users a remarkable experience of comfortable living, traveling and exploration of the seas / oceans.
Many more details will be offered with the permanent patent, regarding both all the other (smaller) components that will assure not only an automated electrical operation of the floating house, but also manual, and the description of each corresponding functionality. With all the corresponding details, it is fully functional, in any possible environmental conditions, being a truly reliable product.

I want to thank very much to my son, George, for the 3D work.
